UNESDA adopts guidelines daily amount labelling
UNESDA, the Union of European Beverages Associations, was the first sector within the food and drink industry to adopt a ‘signpost’ nutritional labelling scheme, based on Guideline Daily Amounts (GDAs).
This means that European beverage manufacturers may provide, on a voluntary basis, a standardised GDA labelling format across all beverages so as to help consumers understand the exact contribution of a specific drink to their daily intake of energy (calories) and sugars.
Many of UNESDA’s company members have already started to roll out GDA labelling across their range of beverages.
